Relics people left behind in times past reflect their rituals, language and lives. Recreated and gathered “relics” are incorporated into these artworks. The 4 tableaux are collaborations between myself and Nell Gottlieb. Nell created the pate de verre and ceramic work and contributed the shells. I made the scrolls, lettered the horns and made the altar-like bases from masonry. The skull was a gift. Nell and I developed the ideas together and created the works from the pieces we made and found. The works on handmade paper include objects I found in Oklahoma and created to incorporate into the collages..
